Caroline Caswell is a western folk herbalist, dancer, and educator, hailing from the Great Lakes State and now resides in a small town outside of Austin, Texas. Her herbal practice focuses on bioregional medicinals and thoughtful interactions with plant life and ecology. She is an advocate for affordable and accessible healthcare for all people. Having personally experienced the shortcomings of allopathic medicine, she believes in welcoming community-based wellness that supports those who are underserved by the capitalist, racist and patriarchal society we live in.

In her art practice, Caroline utilizes modes of performance art, improvisational dance technique, immersive installation, and plant relations to enhance presence and connection. She aims to delight and defuse, to bring calm and carry. Click here to see examples of her performance work.

Caroline devotes her energy as a forever learner and listener of the plants and the people who hold them dear. For five years she taught for her alma mater, the Wildflower School of Botanical Medicine, she currently leads dance workshops at various institutions around Austin including The Contemporary Austin Art School, works for the American Botanical Council, runs a small product line called Sun Buddy, and co-founded Earth Commons Apothecary & Wellness Center.
